PRESS RELEASE: UMUC Telecom Course based on "Techpreneur" Book

 

Alexandria, VA - (January 20, 2010)

Becoming a Successful Techpreneur, the new book by Dr. Jelena Vucetic, now forms the basis for the Telecommunications Management Capstone course at University of Maryland University College (UMUC). This course is the final requirement for the Master of Science degree in Telecommunications Management Specialization of the Information Technology Program at UMUC's Graduate School.

 

Dr. Vucetic was asked to develop this course for UMUC based on her "Techpreneur" book, and has been its primary professor since August 2009. "The 21st century Business & Technology students in advanced academic programs look for academic competence in state-of-the-art technologies and business practices, combined with opportunities to apply their knowledge and skills on real-life R&D projects sponsored by technology companies," says Dr. Vucetic. The Capstone course at UMUC offers students such real-world experience in planning for new telecommunications ventures.
